Our weeks are chock full of busy. I am first a mommy so there's plenty of chasing down my son, cleaning up cheerios off the floor, and hugs. This week we went on a few adventures and took advantage of the nice weather we've had (in the low 60's! So ready for Spring already!) and walked around Downtown Fredericksburg and poked our noses around some antique shops.
1. Max, eating Cheerios and other cereal puffs on a beautiful day. Everywhere we go he gets tons of compliments on his hat! Old men just adore his hat, perhaps because many of them wear one just like it? Heh. Everyone is amazed by his ability to keep the hat on and not nibble on it. Same goes for the sunglasses.
2. We love listening to records. We don't have cable anymore (a willing choice!) so we listen to lots of old records during the day. My current favorites are Donovan, Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks, Stevie Wonder, The Slackers, Santana, and Bing Crosby. This will probably change tomorrow.
3. An old tile bit out front of a now antique store in Downtown Fredericksburg. I just love the text.
4. A hand-stitched quilt in one of the antique stores, I really love the colors and the embroidery done on the front.
5. Bowties! Yes, despite making my own I'm still always on the prowl for new ties. Here's a collection of clip on ones. I'm so in love with that velvet one that I've already decided to include a silk velvet fabric within our fall/winter pattern collection.
6. My bowtie and lady tie haul from the antique stores. Silks and satins.

What delighted me the most about these vintage bowties is they have embroidered measurements within the inside collar. What a great idea!
